Volunteer with us: Volunteer Coordinator

(Estimated 4 – 6 hrs/week up to 16-18 hrs during the festival — Voluntary)


About the Role

We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to organise and support our volunteers throughout our fortnight of events. This is a rewarding role that is ideal for someone interested in communications or event management. 

This is a voluntary role. We provide a clear role outline, a welcoming team environment, a volunteer handbook and ongoing support to ensure you feel safe, included and able to ask questions at any time.


What You’ll Be Doing

This role is all about people's care, communication, and smooth coordination.

You’ll:

  • Recruit and welcome volunteers (students, creatives, film lovers)

  • Communicate clearly and kindly with the team

  • Schedule shifts and tasks in a fair, realistic way

  • Brief volunteers before the festival and before each event 

  • Be the main friendly point of contact for volunteers during the festival

  • Help ensure volunteers feel supported, informed and appreciated

You won’t be doing this alone — you’ll have clear systems, a handbook, and backup support.
