Meet Chris Cosentino, our workshop host
Chris Cosentino is a freelance 3D Generalist and Writer with extensive experience across various creative disciplines. Holding a BA in Scriptwriting for Film and TV from Bournemouth University, Chris has written and animated short form narrative content for notable organizations such as Rural Media, Maverick TV, and Channel 4. His diverse portfolio also includes writing for split narrative and interactive media, short form comics, mixed media pilots, and in-game materials for escape rooms. Additionally, Chris spent over a year as a script reader for the Wild Sound and Scriptapalooza screenwriting competitions.
Meet Ed Amsden, Writer for TV and Radio
Ed is a regular writer for both TV and Radio, having written material for flagship BBC programmes including Have I Got News For You, The News Quiz, Mock the Week, and as part of the head writing team on Dead Ringers. Past/current options on their original material include Avalon, Black Dog Television, Big Talk, BBC Studios and Hat Trick. They have been selected for the inaugural Sky Comedy Rep playwriting scheme (a 2021 partnership between Sky Studios and Birmingham Repertory Theatre), and were recently part of the writers room on a team-written comedy pilot script commission for Black Dog/ITV2.
*Terms & Conditions
- Each writer gets 20 minutes for their script, this will be roughly divided in 10 minutes reading and 10 minutes feedback/ questions.
- The number of pages that will be read depends on the script and the number of participants. With a sold-out capacity, it might be more likely that you get to read up to 5-8 pages. Every writer will be able to present a minimum of 5 pages.
- The submitted pages need to be complete and in readable condition (think at least 2nd/ 3rd draft).
- Only submissions linked to a ticket will be accepted.
- The focus of the workshop will be on fiction scripts with dialogue.
